ACS, Finance, Joshi is new OSD to Gujarat CM, Avantika Singh his new Secretary

Ahmedabad: Senior IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Pankaj Joshi has been appointed new Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, while senior IAS officer Avantika Singh will be his new Secretary.

Joshi has replaced MK Das, who served as Additional Chief Secretary to the CM, and Singh has replaced Ashwani Kumar, who has been transferred. She was CEO, Gujarat Maritime Board.

Bharuch Collector M D Modia has been appointed an OSD in place of K N Shah and Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Ahmedabad, NN Dave will also be an OSD. He will replace DH Shah. Bhupendra Patel, 59, took over as the Chief Minister on Monday after the sudden resignation of Vijay Rupani last Saturday.

Patel inducted 24 ministers into his Cabinet on Thursday. Former Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi and former state BJP president Jitu Vaghani also took oath today. No minister from the earlier ministry found a place in Patel's Cabinet. Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath to 10 Cabinet Ministers and 14 Ministers of State, including five Ministers of State with independent charge.
