Dr Rajendra Prasad, a life dedicated to build a resilient and inclusive India

New Delhi: Bharat Ratna Dr Rajendra Prasad was a visionary, able administrator, disciplinarian and above all a true champion of equality, justice, fraternity and liberty, the cornerstone of our Constitution. Dr Prasad was of the firm view that we as a nation would fail if the poorest and weakest among us are not holistically empowered. He was a great votary of the alignment between our goals and the means adopted to achieve them.
Dr Prasad, in his deliberations and interventions in the Constituent Assembly, forcefully advocated for building a resilient and inclusive Bharat, which is also a dream of every Indian today. The idea of Atma Nirbhar Bharat was very much embedded in his thoughts and he lived his life with this rare idea, making every possible effort to realize his vision.
Today when we pay our respect to the great soul of India, let us rededicate ourselves to build an India of everyone’s dream where no one is left excluded and discriminated in any respect. /BI/
