New Delhi: In a significant development aimed at bolstering the security and protection of critical national infrastructure, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been officially inducted into MIDHANI (Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited), located in Hyderabad. This strategic move represents a crucial step in safeguarding vital facilities, ensuring uninterrupted access to essential super alloys for the nation.

A colorful induction ceremony marked the formal takeover of security at MIDHANI by CISF personnel. The event was graced by the presence of M Nandan, Deputy Inspector General of CISF, SZ-II HQ, Hyderabad, who presided as the Chief Guest. Dr Sanjay Kumar Jha, the Chairman and Managing Director of MIDHANI, as well as officials from both MIDHANI and CISF, along with other dignitaries, were also in attendance.

A total of 118 highly-trained CISF personnel, led by an Assistant Commandant rank officer, have been deployed to secure MIDHANI. This deployment is in line with the Government of India's commitment to fortify the protection of critical infrastructure. CISF's presence at MIDHANI underscores the nation's determination to uphold the highest standards of security and safety.

With the addition of MIDHANI, the CISF now protects a total of 358 units across the country, reaffirming its role as a guardian of national assets and key installations. The administrative oversight for this establishment will be under the Inspector General of the South Sector, based in Chennai.
