Major administrative reshuffle in Tamil Nadu, Phanindra Reddy is new Home Secretary

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has carried out a major reshuffle in the administrative set by carrying out the transfer of over 30 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Senior IAS officer Phanindra Reddy has been appointed Home Secretary, while J Radhakrishnan is new Principal Secretary for Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection Department.

According to an official order, Pradeep Yadav, Managing Director, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), has been posted as Principal Secretary, Highways and Minor Ports Department. J Jayakantan was transferred to the post of Commissioner of Geology and Mining. L Nirmalraj, who was holding the geology and mining post, has now been posted as Commissioner of Transport.

Senithil Kumar has been transferred and posted as new Health Secretary, SK Prabakar Commissioner as Revenue Administration, while Nasimuddin has been appointed Secretary, Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department. Dheeraj Kumar has been posted as Principal Secretary Commissioner of Commercial Taxes.

Darez Ahmed, who was serving as Mission Director, National Health Mission, has been appointed Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. Jacintha Lazarus is the new Commissioner of Welfare of the Differently Abled and Lavlena has been posted as Commissioner of Food Safety. Dr Anandakumar is new Secretary, Welfare of the differently abled persons Department. /BI/
