Major administrative reshuffle in West Bengal

Kolkata: As many as 24 IAS officers have been transferred in West Bengal with immediate effect. As per the official order, Atri Bhattacharya has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Sundarbans Affairs Department, while Hirdyesh Mohan, ACS, will look after the Housing Department. KS Cheema has been transferred to the ATI as Additional Director General.

Nandini Chakraborty has been transferred to the Mass Education Extension and Library Services Department. Choten D Lama is new Secretary, Tribal Development Department, while Saumitra Mohan has been transferred to the Tourism Department. Avanindra Singh will look after the Fisheries Department as its Secretary.

Antara Acharya has been transferred to the Public Works Department as Secretary. Sanjay Bansal is new Secretary, the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Reshmi Kamal has been made DLRS. Ayesha Rani is the new District Magistrate of West Midnapore, while Joyoshi Dasgupta has been made a Special Secretary, ARD.

Bijin Krishna is the new District Magistrate, South Dinajpur, while Kalyani Ulaganathan has been made the Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Sharad Dwivedi is the new DM of North 24-Parganas, while Sumit Gupta goes to South 24-Parganas as its DM.

Sunil Agarwal has been appointed new DM of Jhargram, Rajat Nanda DM, Purulia, while A Subbiah is the new Principal Secretary, Agriculture Marketing. Khalil Ahmed, Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Department, has been given the additional charge as CEO, KMDA.

According to the official order, Nitin Singhania has been made the DM, Malda, Rajarshi Mitra DM Murshidabad. Jolly Chowdhury, Additional Secretary, Urban Development Department, has been made an Additional Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). /BI/
