National Cyber Security Awareness month at NHPC

Faridabad: India’s premier hydropower company – National Hydro Power Corporation -- is observing the month of ‘October 2021’ as the National Cyber Security Awareness Month. The programme began on October 1, at NHPC corporate office with a special message from AK Singh, CMD, NHPC.
The CMD emphasized the importance of the role of all NHPC personnel in creating a system of strong and sound cyber security. He further encouraged all employees to participate in various activities being organized under National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) and extended his best wishes for the programme.
A special session on ‘Cyber security awareness’ was also organized at NHPC Corporate office which was chaired by VK Maini, Executive Director, IT & C, NHPC. The session was conducted by DSCI (Data Security Council of India) which saw active participation from a large number of NHPC employees from NHPC corporate office and its various power stations, projects and units through an online platform.
National Cyber Security Awareness Month is celebrated every year in the month of October all over the world. NHPC is celebrating National Cyber Security Awareness Month under the guidelines of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
