Ravindra Kumar appointed Director (Operations) at NTPC Limited

New Delhi: Ravindra Kumar has taken over as the Director (Operations) at NTPC Limited, India's largest power-producing entity. With over 34 years of experience, Kumar previously served as OSD to the Director (Operations). He began his career as a graduate engineer trainee officer at NTPC Limited in 1989, gaining extensive experience in Commissioning, Operations and Maintenance (O&M), engineering, and project management. Kumar has held various positions at NTPC Kahalgaon Project and has worked at the Corporate Centre in the Engineering department.
He also served as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at the 1st Maitree supercritical power project of Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Limited (BIFPCL), spearheading engineering, commissioning, and O&M activities. Additionally, as CEO of Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited, he accelerated construction and erection activities. Kumar's professional background encompasses both corporate and site experience, reflecting a people-centric approach and comprehensive knowledge of the power sector. /BI
