SBI Life takes up CSR activities

Mumbai: Being a socially responsible company, SBI Life continues with its commitment to improve community wellbeing through its various CSR activities. The firm has contributed towards healthcare, education, environment protection, rural development and disaster relief. The focus of its CSR activities is to help disadvantaged sections of the society to meet their basic needs. The firm also creates opportunities for less privileged sections of society so that they can fulfill their dreams for a better life.
SBI Life's CSR activities in healthcare include providing medical aid to the poorest of the poor, upgrading infrastructures in hospitals, and health prevention programs through awareness sessions. In the education sector, SBI Life supports the cost of education of underprivileged children. They helped in developing infrastructure of more than 50 schools across states.
They invest in therapy aids to help differently abled children to give them equal opportunity of learning. For instance, they support the Smile Foundation in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi. They are supporting the construction of schools in Nai Dharti, Bihar.
Similarly in rural development, environment and disaster relief, they are doing many activities. They are working towards reducing carbon footprints by planting trees in different states. They help victims of natural calamities as well. /BI/
