GAIL launches AI Tarang, a new step in building artificial intelligence literacy

New Delhi: Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) has launched AI Tarang, its artificial intelligence literacy and capacity building initiative, at the GAIL Training Institute (GTI) in Noida. The programme aims to prepare the workforce for the growing role of AI in decision-making and organisational efficiency.

The initiative was inaugurated by GAIL Chairman and Managing Director Sandeep Kumar Gupta in the presence of Director (Projects) Deepak Gupta, Director (HR) Ayush Gupta, senior officials, and newly joined employees of the company.

Addressing the gathering, Sandeep Kumar Gupta spoke about the transformative potential of AI in workplaces and urged employees to see it as an opportunity rather than a challenge. “We can’t just wish it away so better embrace the change,” he said, stressing the importance of innovation and investing time in design thinking.

Speaking on the occasion, Ayush Gupta encouraged employees to use the platform effectively and highlighted the role of technology in driving growth. He said the initiative would help individuals unlock their best potential and adapt to new ways of working.

Following the launch, a webinar was conducted by Nandan Mishra from IKIGAI. The session introduced employees to the basics of AI and outlined the structure of the programme. With this step, GAIL aims to create a future-ready workforce equipped with the knowledge and skills to integrate AI into its operations.
